Leah Veloce
Her career began as a teenager, when she helped her father, an entrepreneur in the lighting industry, organize his finances by implementing QuickBooks when it was first released in 1992. By creating reports to show the profitability of each client, she helped him determine how to make more money in less time. Motivated by that early success, she began offering her services to local retailers and restaurants in her hometown of Canton, Georgia laying the foundation for a lifelong career.
In the nonprofit sector, Leah served as Controller for the Lone Survivor Foundation and The Boot Campaign in Texas, where she was instrumental in scaling financial operations during periods of rapid growth, managing multi-million-dollar donation tracking, budgeting for fundraising events, and reporting to the board.
At Fulfillment Lab in Tampa, she enhanced efficiency by making the billing systems paperless, improved cash flow by requesting that clients maintain a retainer for anticipated shipping costs and supported extremely fast growth in collaboration with the sales team.
As CFO of Magnum Group Atlanta, she managed cash flow for both retail and pool construction divisions, and introduced systems that streamlined the bid process, job costing, and allocation of labor to each project.
